## Additional usage

If the guest successfully extends their trip after [you’ve reported a late return](https://help.turo.com/reporting-a-late-return-H15iBExV5), we’ll disregard the report and issue you any additional earnings when we pay you out for the trip.

If it’s been more than 24 hours since the scheduled trip end and the guest hasn’t successfully extended and hasn’t returned the vehicle, we’ll follow up with them. Allow customer support 48 hours to review the issue and notify you of the outcome. You can log on to the Help Center and use the drop-down menu at the top of the page to open **My Tickets** to review the issue status.

**Note:** Only report legitimate late returns. Misreporting could result in a $50\* violation fee or other penalties. 

## Additional usage charges

We may apply the following charges for a guest’s unapproved additional usage of your vehicle. The amount you’ll receive depends on your [host share](https://help.turo.com/understanding-earnings-and-host-take-rate-r1zDrNlNc), which is determined by your earnings plan. Guests may also be charged a $50\* improper return fee if they are unresponsive, abandon the vehicle, cause a trip cancellation, or for other reasons determined by Turo, plus a 3% Turo admin fee and airport fee if the trip started or ended at an airport where Turo has a permit and the airport charges a fee on incidental costs.

*   **0-29 minutes late:** No charge for late return
*   **30 minutes to 1 hour 59 minutes late**: ½ the average daily trip price
*   **2 hours or more late:** Average daily trip price for 1 day + $20\* late return fee
