#### US residents can send a digital gift card to a recipient, who can apply the value to a Turo trip. Be sure the recipient meets our eligibility requirements before you make your purchase.

## Gift card purchase

To buy a Turo gift card, you must be a US resident, but you don’t need to have a Turo account to make the purchase. 

Gift cards can only be redeemed by guests who have a US mailing address and a US payment method on file. If they don’t yet have a Turo account, they’ll need to create one. If it’s their first trip on Turo, they’ll also need to get approved to drive. Be sure the recipient you have in mind meets these requirements before making your purchase. 

We'll send an email confirmation when you make your purchase and send another when the recipient views their gift card. We deliver Turo gift cards electronically, so the recipient won’t receive a physical card.

## How to buy a gift card on the web

1.  Visit Turo’s [gift card homepage](https://turo.com/us/en/gift-cards-landing) and click **“Buy gift card”** 
2.  Select a digital gift card design
3.  Choose a predetermined value for the card or enter a custom amount
4.  Select “**Email”** or “**Text message”** delivery
5.  Enter the recipient’s name and email address (for email delivery) or mobile number (for text message delivery)
6.  Add a custom message, a sender’s name, and a delivery date 
7.  Click “**Add to cart”** once all fields are complete
8.  Fill out your payment information
9.  Click **“Place order”** to complete purchase

## How to buy a gift card in the app

1.  Tap **Search** icon on the bottom menu
2.  Scroll down and tap **“Shop gift cards”** 
3.  Tap **“Buy gift card”** on the next page
4.  Select a digital gift card design
5.  Choose a predetermined value for the card or enter a custom amount
6.  Select “**Email”** or “**Text message”** delivery
7.  Enter the recipient’s name and email address (for email delivery) or mobile number (for text message delivery)
8.  Add a custom message, a sender’s name, and a delivery date 
9.  Tap “**Add to cart”** once all fields are complete
10.   Fill out your payment information
11.  Tap **“Place order”** to complete purchase

**Note:** You’ll receive an email confirmation for your purchase, and another confirmation when the recipient views their gift card — we deliver Turo gift cards electronically, so the recipient won’t receive a physical card.
