## Earnings and host share

Host take rate is the percentage you earn of the trip price and some other guest charges. Your host share is determined by the earnings plan you choose from the options available in the country where you’ve listed your vehicle. Each plan has a different host share percentage and damage responsibility. Keep in mind that the higher the host share, the higher the damage responsibility, which is your out-of-pocket cost for an eligible damage claim managed by Turo. Turo fees, which are shown on your earnings receipt, include the cost to run the Turo platform and the cost of your earnings plan. ## Variable host share in select US markets

Beginning March 31, 2026, Turo will apply a variable host share in Austin, Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas, Maui, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, and Seattle. Host share in these markets will vary based on earnings plan and how far in advance a guest books a trip. Hosts will receive a higher host share for trips booked further in advance. This applies to host share of trip price and any additional distance, additional usage, or late return fees. Changes made after booking won’t change the host share, which will be displayed on the trip receipt. Vehicle swaps and agent-assisted rebookings carry over the original host share to the new reservation.

The table below shows the host share for hosts in these markets based on the earnings plan and number of days in advance that a guest books.
