## **Earnings** **plan cost**

Turo makes three earnings plans available to US hosts. How much an earnings plan costs depends on the plan you choose. Each plan represents a percentage of the trip price you’ll keep and entitles you to reimbursements for different items. The more earnings you keep, the higher your damage responsibility. We use “damage responsibility” to mean the amount you pay before you’re eligible for reimbursement if there’s physical damage to your vehicle during a guest’s trip. All earnings plans include coverage under a third-party automobile liability insurance policy.\*

You’ll choose a plan for your vehicle when you create your listing and can change it at any time. If you have more than one vehicle listed, you can choose different plans for each. Changes won’t apply to pending trip requests, booked, or in-progress trips. ## **US host plan summaries**

Earnings plans provide for reimbursement for eligible physical damage costs in excess of your plan’s damage responsibility for the Reservation Period\*\* only. Turo will reimburse Hosts for eligible Physical Damage costs above the damage responsibility, subject to terms and exclusions, for either the cost of repair or, the Actual Cash Value (ACV) of the Vehicle up to $200,000 in case of a total loss. Turo retains sole discretion to pay repair costs or ACV. You may decide to increase the amount of personal insurance you carry if you want additional protection.

The protection plan your guest chooses is separate from your earnings plan. A guest’s plan limits their out-of-pocket payment for eligible damage to your vehicle on a trip. Your plan provides physical damage reimbursement for your vehicle.

Use the at-a-glance summaries below to see the highlights of each plan and follow up with a review of [plan details](https://help.turo.com/detailed-explanation-of-protection-plans-or-us-hosts-ByMOIVxEc). Note that host share is a percentage of the trip price.

\*All earnings plans include coverage under a third-party automobile liability insurance policy issued to Turo from Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company (“Travelers”). Liability coverage is up to $750,000 for all host earnings plans. Some states and some airports require additional coverage. As of June 17, 2026, for vehicles in the state of New York, plans provide, by default, up to the state minimums in third-party liability insurance for peer-to-peer vehicle sharing. Trips for vehicles in the state of New York starting before June 17, 2026 have a limit of $1,250,000.

\*\*The Reservation Period is the period shown for a booked trip. It begins at the trip start time listed in the reservation and when the vehicle is in the custody or control of the guest. It ends the earlier of the trip end time or when the vehicle is returned to the host or to the location designated in the reservation.

†The Delivery Period is the time when the host or Turo-approved driver designee, is actively delivering the car to the primary guest who’s reserved delivery, and ends when the vehicle has been delivered to the primary guest. The period doesn’t include the time when the host or designee is retrieving the car at the end of the trip. There is third-party liability insurance available during the Delivery Period if the guest books delivery in the reservation, but no contractual reimbursement for physical damage to the host’s car during the Delivery Period.
