## Circumstances that may be eligible

At its sole discretion, Turo may excuse host cancellation fees and/or remove a metrics impact under certain circumstances. These may include situations such as:

* Vehicle is unavailable due to circumstances of a previous Turo trip (e.g., vehicle damage, late return)
* You cancel a guest's trip, and that guest rebooks with you within 24 hours
* Cancellation is the first one of your past 10 booked trips
* You have a valid security or public safety concern, or are facing a documented issue of discomfort (harassment, proof that a guest intends to violate a policy on the upcoming trip, or guest refusal to submit required information) cancel the trip in the product and choose “I’m uncomfortable with this trip”
* You or your vehicle are a victim of a verifiable natural disaster
* You suffer a serious injury or a death in the family
* (US only) Cancellation was due to a [safety recall](https://help.turo.com/en_us/safety-recall-regulations-B1DELEgE5) on your vehicle

## Request to have a cancellation excused

If you chose “I’m uncomfortable with this trip” when canceling, agents will automatically review the circumstances and determine whether to  excuse the cancellation fee and/or remove metrics impact based on available evidence and at their sole discretion.

If you canceled a trip for any reason other than “I’m uncomfortable with this trip,” you can request to have the cancellation excused. Tap the **"Get help"** button below to reach our AI assistant and ask to be connected to an agent. Agents will review the circumstances and evidence to determine, at their sole discretion, whether the cancellation fee and/or related metrics may be excused.
