This article covers the steps to take if you experience a flat tire during your Turo trip and explains how financial responsibility is determined. This article does not cover general roadside assistance for non-tire related issues or general damage reporting procedures.

**Important:** Guests are responsible for the vehicle during the booked trip. You may be responsible for roadside assistance, towing, repair and/or replacement costs depending on the cause of the flat tire.

## Roadside assistance for flat tires - US, Australia, Canada, France

Guests who experience a flat tire should contact Turo roadside assistance immediately. A roadside assistance professional will attempt to change or repair the tire on-site. If they cannot fix the tire, they’ll tow the vehicle to a garage or storage facility selected by the host. To contact Turo, call:

## Assistance for flat tires - UK

Guests should check Turo messaging for any communication from your host regarding personal breakdown cover. If no information is provided, contact your host to confirm if they have a preferred breakdown service provider. If the host does not have breakdown cover, contact Turo roadside assistance.

## Guidelines for repairing or replacing a flat tire

As a guest, plan to follow these guidelines for repairing or replacing a flat tire: 

*   **Contact your host:** Notify the host about the flat tire before making repairs.
    
*   **Repair or replace the tire:** If the tire is repairable, proceed with the repair. If there’s  sidewall damage or the tire is not repairable, get the host's approval to replace the tire with one of equal or greater quality.
    
*   **Manage costs:** Pay for the tire at full price. You are not responsible for replacing any non-damaged tires.
    

## Financial responsibility

Guests in all locations are responsible for flat tires caused by accidental damage or vandalism during the trip as well as guest engagement in a prohibited use. Turo reviews pre- and post-trip photos to understand the cause of the flat tire and determine liability.

If a guest and their host cannot agree on how to handle the costs, either party can report the damage in Turo’s damage reporting center. **Important:** Guests should keep all receipts for transportation or towing costs as well as for repairs or replacements. If Turo determines you were not responsible for the flat, you’ll be reimbursed for the documented amount.
