## How payout works

Trip type, payout schedule, and your bank’s processing time are all factors that determine when you get paid. You must enter your bank information in Stripe to [set up direct deposit](https://help.turo.com/setting-up-or-changing-direct-deposit-HkDwB4xE5) to receive a payout. 

#### Trip type

*   **First completed trip:** Stripe typically initiates payout three business days after a trip ends
*   **Subsequent trips:** Stripe initiates payout three hours after the trip ends
*   **Trips lasting more than a week:** Stripe initiates partial payout every seven days until the trip has ended, and you’ve received all your earnings

#### Payout schedule

Stripe issues no more than one payout a day and may combine payout for multiple trips into a single payout.

#### Bank processing time

Once payout has been initiated, your bank will take an additional three to five business days to verify and process the payout as a direct deposit. Turo has no ability to alter Stripe’s  processing time or that of your bank.
