This article outlines the steps guests can take to troubleshoot booking issues and identify if specific account restrictions are preventing a reservation. This article does not cover payment method updates or Turo’s general user policies.

**Important:** Do not contact Turo customer support more than once regarding a booking issue, as this can delay resolution. Turo cannot change or reverse final decisions regarding account status or violations.

## Instructions for fixing common booking problems

_(A flowchart to determine the appropriate resolution path for booking errors.)_

Guests can use this decision tree to identify the issue causing their booking problem and take steps to correct it on their own.

1. **Check eligibility:** Do you meet all age, license, and regional requirements for the vehicle?
(High-value vehicles aren’t available to younger drivers, and license and driving history requirements differ across countries.)

    * **No:** Review eligibility requirements or choose a different vehicle.

    * **Yes:** Proceed to step 2.

2. **Verify information:** Are all booking details complete and accurate?
(You must enter accurate driver’s license and payment information that meets Turo’s requirements for the trip.)

    * **No:** Update the booking information and complete post-booking requirements.

    * **Yes:** Proceed to step 3.

3. **Review payment:** Is the payment card valid or is there an outstanding balance on an unpaid invoice?
(Bookings cannot be completed with an expired card, a card Turo doesn’t accept, or a card or other payment method that does not have sufficient funds to cover the cost of the trip.)

    * **No:** Update payment details or pay any outstanding balances.

    * **Yes:** Proceed to step 4.

4. **Inspect account:** Has an email been received regarding account status?

    * **Yes:** Follow the specific instructions provided in the email.

    * **No:** Investigate account-specific causes below.

## Account-specific causes

_(Common account-level issues that may restrict booking capabilities)_

If standard troubleshooting does not resolve the booking issue, investigate these 3 common account-related constraints:

1. **Look for linked accounts:** Ensure personal information is not shared across multiple Turo accounts. If your phone number, email, or driver’s license appears on another Turo account, you must first resolve that issue before you’re able to book. Learn how to manage [multiple or linked accounts](https://help.turo.com/multiple-or-linked-accounts-S1ZTVVlV9).

2. **Check for policy violations:** Look in your Inbox and Junk folder for an email from Turo about a policy violation. If you committed a violation, the email would specify what rule you broke and if and when you can appeal. **Unless the email says you can appeal, the decision is final and can’t be reversed.**

3. **Confirm trust and safety status:** Check for notifications regarding account reviews or safety status. [Learn more](https://help.turo.com/trust-and-safety-issues-SJIT4Ve4q) about how these issues can impact your access to Turo.

**How to fix common booking problems | Guests summary:** Users can troubleshoot booking errors by verifying eligibility, payment status, and account information. If issues persist, they can identify if their account is restricted due to shared information across multiple accounts or common policy or safety violations.
