This article outlines the process for managing a trip when a primary guest does not show up at check-in, does not arrive at the scheduled trip start time, or fails license verification. Following these steps ensures you remain eligible for partial earnings and helps you resolve the situation efficiently.

## Contact your guest and wait the required time

If the primary guest does not arrive for the scheduled trip, the host must contact them immediately via Turo messaging and tell the guest they are at risk of being reported as a no-show. Let the guest know how much additional time they have before they are considered a no-show and wait that full length of time.

* **US, Canada, and UK:** 2 hours past the scheduled trip start time.
* **Australia and France:** 30 minutes past the scheduled trip start time.

**Note:** Always allow the guest 15 minutes to respond to your initial message. If you are willing to wait longer than the required time for the guest, notify them and accommodate their request as best you can.

## Report a no-show for guest failure to arrive

Report the no-show to customer support if the guest does not respond within 15 minutes, or if the guest responds with an arrival time outside the permitted window, and you are unable to wait.

**Important:** You must report a guest no-show within 72 hours of the scheduled trip start time to be eligible for earnings.

## Report a no-show for guest license failure

Hosts may cancel trips that meet these guest license failure scenarios and report them as a guest no-show:

* **Remote check-in failure:** The guest fails to upload a license, and you cannot meet the guest in person to confirm it.
* **In-person check-in failure:** The guest arrives without a license or with an invalid license.
* **Unauthorized driver:** The primary guest sends an approved or unapproved additional driver to pick up the vehicle. Do not provide the vehicle to the driver.

## Check earnings

Turo processes cancellations and issues partial earnings to hosts based on the trip type and scheduled duration, provided you follow the reporting guidelines.

* **2 days or shorter:** Host share of 75% of 1 day's average trip price.
* **Longer than 2 days:** Host share of 2 days' average trip price.
* **Delivery fees:** Half of any delivery fee, regardless of trip length.

**Important:** Earnings are calculated based on the protection plan you selected. Turo will not pay earnings if you fail to follow these reporting guidelines or if you do not report the no-show within 72 hours. Exceptions to host earnings may apply in the event of flight delays, flight cancellations, vehicle cleanliness issues, or other extenuating circumstances.
