SMS notifications provide important updates about account activity and trips via text message. This article explains how to opt into text message notifications via text message commands.

## How to opt into SMS notifications

Opt into or out of receiving SMS notifications by texting a command directly to Turo’s system. To confirm receipt, we’ll text a confirmation message. 

*   **To opt in:** Text **START** to **415-335-7151**.
    
*   **To** **opt out:**  Text **STOP** to **415-335-7151**. 
    
*   **If you forget these commands:** Text **HELP** to **415-335-7151** for instructions.
    

Message and data rates may apply for any SMS messages Turo sends and receives. Users receive 1 message per request. Contact your wireless provider with questions about your text or data plan.
