This article explains the process for guests to pay for tickets received during a trip. Follow these steps to ensure ticket invoices are settled within the required timeframe.

## Instructions for paying a ticket

_(Instructions for paying ticket invoices through the trip_ _**Details**_ _page.)_

1. Open the trip’s **Detail** page and select **View invoices**.

2. Select the invoice to open it.

3. Select **Accept and pay.**

## Ticket notification and payment schedule

_(Covers ticket notification procedures, payment deadlines, and host reimbursement timelines.)_

Guests must notify the host as soon as they receive a ticket. Ticketing agencies use varying billing cycles, which can cause delays in host notification.

**Ticket invoice windows:**

* **Payment for invoices received within 90 days:** Turo notifies guests via email and activity feed. Guests has 48 hours to pay or dispute the invoice.

* **Payment for invoices received after 90 days:** Turo emails guests regarding the ticket charges. Guests must reply to the email to ask questions or dispute the charges.

**Reimbursement request timeframes:**

* **Standard request:** Hosts can submit ticket costs within 180 days after a trip ends since they may not receive notice of a ticket for several months due to a ticketing agency’s billing cycle. Processing by Turo may take up to 5 days. Therefore, a guest may receive a reimbursement request up to 185 days after a trip ends.

* **Canada and Australia requests:** Hosts can submit certain tickets within 365 days after a trip ends, so a guest may receive a reimbursement request up to 370 days after a trip ends.

## Eligible and ineligible tickets and fees

_(Guidelines distinguishing which tickets are eligible or ineligible for host reimbursement requests.)_

**Eligible tickets and fees:**

* **Administrative fees:** Administrative fees for speeding tickets at toll collection sites.

* **Illegal driving:** Tickets resulting from illegal driving during the trip.

* **Impound costs:** A $399 Impound recovery fee if Turo recovers the vehicle and the impound is caused directly by the guest's actions, behavior, or policy violations, making them responsible for the $399.00 flat fee (provided there is no active damage claim)

* **Moving violations:** Liability for moving violations that can be transferred to the guest.

* **Parking fines:** [Parking tickets](https://help.turo.com/street-parking-ryr5V4g4c) and fines received up to 24 hours after the trip, including towing and impound costs due to improper parking.

* **Processing fees:** Processing fees of 3% for Turo intervention and an airport permit fee if the trip begins or ends at an airport with a permit that charges for incidental costs.

**Ineligible tickets and fees:**

* **Vehicle-related issues**: Tickets concerning the vehicle, such as expired registration, lapsed insurance, minor equipment issues, or window tinting.
