This article defines the process and criteria for hosts to request the removal of a rating or review from Turo.

## **Instructions for requesting Turo remove a review**

Turo generally does not remove ratings and reviews because a strong marketplace requires honest feedback. This includes disagreements about trip events, claims of unfairness, or assertions that a review is untruthful.

Follow these steps to request that Turo remove a review.

### **1\. Verify eligibility**

Before submitting a request, ensure the review or rating meets one of the following criteria:

·       **Booking Validity:** Reflects a booked trip that did not take place.

·       **Extortion:** Motivated by a threat of extortion.

·       **Inappropriate Language:** Includes profanity or vulgarity.

·       **Incentivization:** Offers payment, extra services, or discounted rates.

·       **Personal Information:** Contains addresses, phone numbers, or last names.

·       **Timeliness:** The review or rating was posted within 30 days of the trip's end.

**Note:** Turo proactively removes reviews, ratings, and host performance metrics related to trips involving a violation of Turo's Terms of Service.

### **2\. Submit a request**

If the content meets the criteria above, you must use the official submission process.

Complete and submit the [removal request form](https://help.turo.com/contact/review-removal-ByGFs3kZle).

**Important:** This form is the only method accepted for removal requests. Turo does not process these requests via chat, phone, or email.

### **3\. Await evaluation results**

Turo evaluates the request alongside relevant data to determine eligibility.

Turo will review each request only once.

All removal decisions are made at Turo’s sole discretion and are final.

## **Automated Cancellation Reviews**

When hosts cancel a trip, Turo posts an automated review on their listing. Turo considers removing an automated review if it meets one of the following criteria:

·       **Extenuating Circumstance:** An extenuating circumstance caused the cancellation.

·       **Flight Issues:** The guest's flight was canceled or delayed.

·       **Guest Cancellation:** The guest requested the cancellation.

·       **Guest Damage or Delay:** A previous guest damaged the vehicle or returned it late.

·       **Safety or Maintenance:** Host felt uncomfortable due to harassment, concerns about guest behavior or prohibited activity, or urgent vehicle maintenance.
