Failure to comply with these requirements is a violation of Turo’s [vehicle misrepresentation policy](https://help.turo.com/vehicle-misrepresentation-SkLQ84eNc) and will result in a $100 violation fee.   Keep in mind that you can’t use an incident information card or insurance certificate to register your vehicle, and neither of these documents satisfies state or provincial "Financial Responsibility" requirements; only your personal insurance card does that.  ## Documents required for US hosts Turo requires hosts in the US to keep the following documents or copies of these documents in their vehicle for all Turo trips. All documents must be valid from the start date through the end date of any current trip. * Vehicle registration (new buyers in Texas must provide a buyer’s receipt, which can be either a bill of sale or buyer’s temporary tag/registration, until registration arrives) * Proof of personal insurance * Turo incident information card   Incident information cards are updated annually. All documents must be valid from the start date through the end date of the current guest trip. * Copy of registration  * Copy of personal insurance  * Proof of valid technical control  In France, insurance certificates are trip specific, and we generate a new one for each booked trip. You can access and download a copy of the certificate from the **Details** page for the trip.   ## Documents required for UK hosts Turo requires hosts in the UK to keep a current copy of the UK motor insurance certificate in their vehicle for all Turo trips. Insurance certificates are updated annually.
