## Insurance considerations

Turo knows of no law that says it’s illegal to share your vehicle in the UK. We don’t expect your insurer to cover losses that occur while your vehicle is being shared. That’s why we make [earnings plans](https://help.turo.com/summary-and-cost-of-protection-plans-or-uk-hosts-ByiuUNl4c) made available to hosts in the UK. You receive full coverage for each Turo trip; you don’t need to inform your insurer of physical damage, and your premiums won’t be impacted.

## Financing considerations

We suggest you check the terms of any lease or financing agreements to ensure they:

* don’t prohibit your participation in car sharing

* won’t cause your vehicle to exceed the annual mileage limit

Hosts who share a vehicle with a lien against it should check the terms of their contract with the lienholder to ensure listing on Turo doesn’t violate the contract terms.  Your insurer’s response to car sharing will depend on their specific policies. If your insurer has concerns, we believe you should be able to remove your vehicle(s) from Turo and retain your personal vehicle insurance policy.
