## Take a first step

**You must be at least 21 years old to list a vehicle in the US.**  Before you can list a vehicle, you must [create a Turo account](https://turo.com/sign-up).

Hosts outside the US can find information for listing vehicles in [Australia](https://help.turo.com/listing-a-vehicle-australia-Skbq6G5Vkg), [Canada](https://help.turo.com/listing-a-vehicle-canada-BylgRMqVyg), [France](https://help.turo.com/fr/inscrire-un-vehicule-or-france-r15GHYqpn), or the [UK](https://help.turo.com/listing-a-vehicle-uk-S1B4RM5Ekl).

## Confirm you meet our requirements

In addition to the age requirement, you must also meet these requirements to be eligible to list a vehicle in the US:

*   Have [valid car insurance](https://help.turo.com/personal-insurance-requirements-or-hosts-S1TvINxVq) 
    
*   Meet [legal and insurance standards and requirements](https://help.turo.com/en_us/legal-and-insurance-considerations-for-sharing-your-car-H1cQrNgVq) for your region
    
*   Acknowledge our [Vehicle tracking and technology policy](https://help.turo.com/tracking-and-technology-devices-SkF48Nl49)
    
*   Complete Turo host orientation (required before your listing can go live)
    

## Get permissions

Review the language of your lease or financing documents to confirm permission to list your vehicle on a car sharing platform. 

## Become a host

*   **To use the Turo app:** [tap here](https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/list-your-car) or from the Turo app, select “more” at the bottom of the screen, and then select “Become a host” to begin the listing process. 
    
*   **To use the Turo website:** [click here](https://turo.com/us/en/car-rental/united-states/list-your-car) or select your profile, select “Become a host,” and then select “Get started” to begin the listing process.
    

## Create your listing

Have all the information you’ll need at hand when you’re ready to [list your vehicle](http://turo.com/list-your-car/list). You’ll enter:

*   license plate number
    
*   vehicle make, model, and year
    
*   clear, well-lit, high resolution [photos](https://help.turo.com/listing-photos-guide-rJBHuRQSh) of your vehicle — successful hosts have at least 10 that show the exterior from all sides and any unique interior features; if you’re a business operating on Turo, consider including facility or portfolio photos
    
*   an accurate list of your vehicle’s features; Turo’s system will automatically [list some for yo](https://help.turo.com/vehicle-features-us-canada-hosts-Bk3q4JHo1g)u
    

When you create your listing, you’ll set a price for your vehicle, choose a protection plan, and set your availability and trip preferences. You’ll also have the option to offer discounts, delivery, and Extras**.** Don’t share your phone number, address, links to your social media accounts, or other personal information in your vehicle listing. Don’t include any mention of fees, deposits, or restrictions not supported by Turo and our [Terms of service.](https://turo.com/policies/terms) 

## Confirm your vehicle listing and settings 

Make sure that you completed all required inspections. Set your vehicle’s availability and specific pickup/return hours in your host settings. Adjust your [trip preferences](https://help.turo.com/setting-trip-duration-BJZpGUJIchttps://help.turo.com/setting-trip-duration-BJZpGUJIc) to include advance notice, trip buffers, and trip duration settings so you only receive trips that fit your schedule.
