## Adding or changing listing photos

To add or change vehicle listing photos, open **Vehicles** and choose the vehicle you want to edit. Tap or click the **Photos** option. Tap **“Edit”** in the top right corner (in the app) or click **“Add photos”** at the bottom of the page (on the web). 

Your listing must have at least one photo. If you have only one photo and you want to replace it, upload a second photo and then delete the first one.

## Listing photo best practices

#### Take five steps back

Turo automatically crops your images by about 20% when you upload to your listing — take five steps back to shoot an image every time. This ensures there’s plenty of extra space around the area you’re capturing in the photo so it’s fully visible in your listing.

#### Take clear photos

Whether you’re shooting with a professional-grade camera or your mobile phone, be sure to take clear, well-lit photos to build trust with guests.

**Tip:** Shoot in the morning or evening, when the light is softer and more consistent.

#### No stock photography

Using stock photography is against our [Terms of service](https://turo.com/policies/terms) and is misleading to guests. Be sure the images you upload accurately showcase your vehicle.

## Suggested listing photos 

Walk around your vehicle and take at least 10 photos from the angles shown below, capturing both the interior and exterior. 

**Tip:** Be sure to take photos of any [Extras](https://help.turo.com/offering-extras-rkKLHExEc) you offer in your listing such as coolers, child safety seats, tents, or other gear items.

## Prohibited listing photos

We may restrict your vehicle listing for including any of the following in your photos:

*   AI-generated and AI-altered images
*   Inappropriate, hateful, or discriminatory symbolism; Turo does not condone [discrimination](https://turo.com/policies/nondiscrimination) and we may take action against your listing or account when reported
*   Lewd or indecent content
*   Markings and advertisements, including advertisements from other car-sharing sites
*   Photos that feature towing (towing is prohibited on Turo trips) 
*   Stock images
*   Text overlay or censorship/black bars

**Note:** Turo does permit hosts to cover their license plate information in their listing photos
