#### Guests can request a change to their vehicle pickup and return location — including adding or removing delivery — before their trip starts and can request a change to their return location once their trip is in progress.

## Guest requests for a vehicle location change

Guests can request a change to their vehicle pickup and return location before their trip starts. Because guests can’t choose one location for pickup and a different location for return when they book their trip, Turo allows them to request a change to their return location once their trip is in progress. Guests are only able to request a change to a location where you already have the vehicle listed as available for pickup/return or for delivery or to a custom location within your set delivery radius.

If a guest contacts you to request a change to vehicle location, including to add or remove delivery from their trip, tell them they must submit their request through Turo and [send them these instructions.](https://help.turo.com/changing-delivery-location-ryKBEVl49)

## Response to requests for a vehicle location change

#### Change automatically made

The Turo system reviews guests’ requests for a new pickup and/or return or delivery location and will automatically accept the request if your vehicle isn’t restricted or unlisted, has calendar availability, and there are no conflicts with your settings at that location.

For example, a guest wants to change the return location to a delivery location you offer. They give an eight-hour advance notice, and you only require a three-hour advance notice for delivery locations, so the trip change would be automatic.

#### Change sent to you

**If the vehicle is unavailable or restricted or if there are any conflicts with your settings at the vehicle’s location**, the system will send the request to you to confirm or decline.

For example, a guest wants to change the return location to a delivery location you offer. They give a one-day advance notice, but you require a two-day advance notice for delivery locations, so the trip change would require your approval.

#### Change not allowed

**If the vehicle is unavailable, unlisted, or restricted or if there’s a conflict with your trip buffer time at the vehicle location,** the guest won’t be able to submit a change request and no change will be made to the trip.

## Earnings impact for a change to vehicle location

A change to vehicle location may add or alter the delivery fee tied to a trip.

**If your guest adds or removes delivery for their trip**, we’ll add or remove the delivery fee you've set for that location to your host earnings.

**If we’ve already charged your guest for delivery,** we’ll adjust your earnings to reflect any change to the delivery fee.

**If your guest changes only _one_ delivery location**, your new delivery fee for that trip will be 50% of the fee for the original location **_and_** 50% of the fee for the new location.
