## Turo adjusts new airport parking fee guidelines and continues rollout 

**Effective: June 23, 2026**

### New airport parking fee guidelines to include available free parking period

Beginning June 23, 2026, Turo will honor the free parking period available at some permitted airport parking locations where new parking fee guidelines are in place. Turo will not charge hosts for parking if they drop off their vehicle during a parking location’s available free period. Otherwise, hosts will be responsible for parking costs for the time between drop-off and scheduled trip start, rounded up to the nearest hour. **Note:** Not all airports and all airport parking locations offer a free parking period.

## Updates to earnings language in US and introduction of variable host share in select markets

**Effective: March 31, 2026**

Beginning March 31, as a follow-up to the new host earnings plans introduced in January, Turo is replacing the terms “deductible” with “damage responsibility” and “host take rate” with “host share.” 

Additionally, Turo will apply a variable host share in Austin, Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas, Maui, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, and Seattle. Your host share will vary based on your earnings plan and how far in advance a guest books a trip. Hosts will receive a higher host share for trips booked further in advance. This applies to the host share of trip price and any additional distance, additional usage, or late return fees. Changes made after booking won’t change the host share, which will be displayed on the trip receipt.

## New Australia host earnings plans

**Effective: March 31, 2026**

Beginning March 31, 2026, Turo will replace the three current Australia host protection plans with three new earnings plans. The earnings plans, named to more clearly draw the connection between protection level choice and host earnings, have been created in response to increasing repair and claims costs. The new plans will continue to offer up to $20,000,000\* in legal liability protection from Turo Travels Mutual. 

As part of this change, Turo will replace the term “deductible” with “damage responsibility” and “host take rate” with “host share.”

This change won’t impact trips booked before March 31, 2026, even if those trips are shortened or extended on or after that date. However, the new plans will apply if there’s a vehicle swap on or after that date.

Turo will automatically opt vehicles into a new plan based on their current plan. New vehicles will default into the More peace of mind plan. However, hosts can change plans at any time. See the table below for the new plan damage responsibility and host share.

## New Canada host earnings plans

The earnings plans, named to more clearly draw the connection between protection level choice and host earnings, have been created in response to increasing repair and claims costs. The new plans will continue to offer up to $2,000,000\* in third-party liability insurance\*\* from the Economical Insurance Company or Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC). 

As part of this change, Turo will replace the term “deductible” with “damage responsibility”  and “host take rate” with “host share.” 

This change won’t impact trips booked before March 31, 2026, even if those trips are shortened or extended on or after that date. However, the new plans will apply if there’s a vehicle swap on or after that date.

Turo will automatically opt vehicles into a new plan based on their current plan. New vehicles will default into the More peace of mind plan. However, hosts can change plans at any time. See the table below for the new plan damage responsibility and host share.

Turo will automatically opt existing vehicles into a new plan based on their current plan. New vehicles will default into the Balanced plan. However, hosts can change plans at any time. See the table below for the new plan damage responsibility costs and host share.

## New host parking fee guidelines for airports with delivery permits

**Effective: February 18, 2026**

On February 18, 2026, Turo will introduce new host parking fee guidelines for hosts who deliver to US and Canadian airports with delivery permits. These guidelines have been designed to more fairly allocate responsibility for parking costs while increasing guest satisfaction, trip ratings, and repeat business for hosts. The guidelines, which have already proved successful in a pilot program at [Denver International Airport (DEN)](https://help.turo.com/colorado-airport-delivery-or-hosts-SJA1UExEq), [Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC)](https://help.turo.com/norman-y-mineta-san-jose-international-airport-sjc-hosts-BkzqhcEQo), and [Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)](https://help.turo.com/phoenix-sky-harbor-international-airport-phx-hosts-H1wvWQ4dc), will launch at 23 airports listed below on the 18th and roll out to the remaining permitted airports over the next few months. ## Updates to duration discounts

**Effective: February 2, 2026**

Beginning February 2, 2026, if a guest extends a trip, the extension can qualify for a duration discount based solely on the length of the extension. The days the guest originally booked won’t count toward the extension’s duration discount, and the duration discount for the originally booked days won’t change. 

For example, if the guest books an eight-day trip, they’ll qualify for a one-week discount. If the guest then adds three days, the three days will qualify for their own three-day discount, and the original trip’s discount won’t change. 

## Turo launches dynamic pricing in Australia and France

**Effective: January 21, 2026**

On January 21, 2026, dynamic pricing will be in place for all vehicle listings in Australia and France. Dynamic pricing uses a sophisticated algorithm developed by Turo data scientists to calculate the optimal daily rate for a vehicle by balancing price with booking probability. 

Beginning January 7, 2026, hosts in these markets will start seeing dynamic pricing on their calendar for dates on or after January 21, but any custom prices set will remain unchanged. 

On the 21st, default prices on the calendar in the **Trips** tab will reflect the dynamic pricing recommendation. Turo will also launch in these markets a “Future prices” chart that will show the current dynamic pricing recommendations for the next 90 days and will illustrate how dynamic pricing fluctuates over time. 

Hosts can change the prices set by dynamic pricing if they think they should be different based on local market knowledge or utilization goals. Prior to making changes, they must complete an in-product tutorial that’ll be accessible to them as of January 7. 

## Update to non-refundable trip discounts

**Effective: January 20, 2026**

Beginning January 20, 2026, Turo will apply a 10% non-refundable trip discount to all non-refundable trips booked four or more days in advance. This standardized approach is designed to guarantee hosts receive earnings even if a guest cancels an eligible trip. It’s also meant to create a more consistent booking experience for guests, which increases their trust in Turo and strengthens our marketplace. 

## New US host earnings plans

**Effective: January 7, 2026**

Beginning January 7, 2026, Turo will replace the five current US host protection plans with three new earnings plans in response to increasing repair and claims costs. The new plans continue to offer up to $750,000 in third-party liability insurance from Travelers Excess and Surplus Lines Company for Reservation and Delivery periods, [as defined](https://help.turo.com/detailed-explanation-of-protection-plans-or-us-hosts-ByMOIVxEc). 

As part of this change, Turo will replace the term “deducible” with “damage responsibility”  and “host take rate” with “host share.”
