# Parking fee guidelines for airports with delivery permits | US and Canada hosts

Parking fee guidelines and responsibility for parking costs vary depending on the airport where a vehicle is delivered. New parking fee guidelines define host and guest responsibilities for parking costs at US and Canadian airports with delivery permits. 

## New parking fee guidelines

Beginning June 23, 2026, new parking fee guidelines will go into effect at 100+ airports with delivery permits. These airports are displayed with an asterisk (**\***) on the [in the US](https://help.turo.com/airports-with-delivery-permits-us-hosts-Hkc1LEl4q) and [in Canada](https://help.turo.com/airports-with-delivery-permits-canada-hosts-rJyyrtlU5).

Also beginning June 23, 2026, Turo will honor the free parking period available at some permitted airport parking locations where the new parking fee guidelines are in place.

### Hourly parking

**Host responsibility**

*   You’re responsible for parking costs incurred before the trip's scheduled start time, rounded up to the nearest hour.
*   You will not be charged if you drop off the vehicle during an available free parking period.
*   Turo will use the timestamp on the photo(s) you uploaded in the guided airport drop-off flow to determine the length and cost of your pre-trip parking and deduct the cost from host earnings. 
*   Turo will charge hosts who fail to complete the drop-off flow before a trip’s start for four hours of parking costs at the airport’s highest rate. 
*   In case of a guest no-show, Turo may deduct the parking credit from your earnings but will issue a refund.

**Note:** To avoid being overcharged for parking do not prepay and instruct your guest to submit a trip change request if you agreed to a later trip start time. 

**Important:** You must pay the parking cost to retrieve your vehicle and are not permitted to charge or request reimbursement from a guest or Turo for any parking costs for picking up your vehicle after a trip ends, in violation of Turo policy.

**Guest responsibility**

*   Guests are responsible for all parking costs incurred after the trip’s scheduled start time, including costs incurred due to a late arrival. 
*   Guests will pay to exit the parking location but will receive credit for the hours the vehicle was parked before the trip starts.

### Daily parking

**Host responsibility**

*   For locations that charge daily rates, you’re responsible for the full cost of parking, which includes the full daily rates for dropping off your vehicle before a trip’s scheduled start time and picking up your vehicle at the end of a trip. 
*   Turo will deduct the full cost of parking from your earnings.  
*   If a guest is no-show, Turo may deduct the parking credit from your earnings but will refund you. 

**Important:** You must pay the parking cost to retrieve your vehicle and are not permitted to charge or request reimbursement from a guest or Turo for any parking costs for picking up your vehicle after a trip ends, in violation of Turo policy.

**Guest responsibility**

*   Guests will pay to exit the parking location but will receive credit for the full day.

### Park My Share

*   **Host responsibility:** US hosts who use a Park My Share location are responsible for all parking costs and are prohibited from requesting reimbursement from your guest or from Turo. 

## Ineligible parking costs under the new parking fee guidelines

As long as a host has completed the check-in flow before trip start, Turo will not make a parking cost deduction from host earnings under these circumstances:

*   The location does not charge for parking.
*   The location uses a transponder for parking costs at a permitted airport parking location, including at an approved alternative location.
*   You deliver the vehicle curbside or to another airport-approved, in-person drop-off/pickup location.
