## Eligible parking fee

Some hosts house their vehicles at or deliver them to paid parking facilities. A host must make it clear if there will be a parking fee charged at a parking facility and whether you’re responsible for that fee. 

After booking, your host will message you through Turo messaging to let you know if there’s a parking fee at the vehicle’s pickup location and whether you’ll be responsible for paying the fee. If your host didn’t inform you via Turo messaging that you’d be responsible for paying a parking fee, save the receipt and contact us. **Important:** Specific parking guidelines and fees are in place at some airports. If you’re picking up a car at one of these airports, Turo will let you know when we notify you the vehicle is ready for pickup. ## Ineligible parking fee

Turo prohibits hosts from requesting reimbursement for these parking fees:

*   fee they must pay to retrieve their vehicle after your trip ends
*   fee for using a Park My Share location at their instruction 

If a host sends you a reimbursement invoice for this fee, [dispute the invoice](https://help.turo.com/disputing-an-invoice-from-your-host-H1NEN4eE5), and Turo’s customer support will manage the issue with the host. 

## Parking fee payment

Some hosts will cover the cost of the parking fee you must pay to pick up the vehicle. Hosts have two options for doing so: 

### Payment up front

Your host may leave the parking fee amount in cash in the vehicle and tell you where to find it. A parking fee cash transaction is **_not_** a violation of Turo’s [gray market transaction policy](https://help.turo.com/gray-market-transaction-policy-or-guests-ryrrN4eV9). However, a host’s request for you to pay via a third-party app isn’t permitted since that would violate Turo’s gray market transaction policy.

### Reimbursement

If a host says they’ll reimburse you for the parking fee you pay to pick up the vehicle, they must send you a note in Turo messaging confirming their plan to do so. Save the parking receipt and contact us once the trip has ended. Tap the **"Get help"** button below to reach our AI assistant and ask to be connected to an agent. The support agent will ask you to submit a photo of the receipt, will check Turo messaging for your host’s note, and will reimburse you.
