#### You can apply for a payment plan to pay damage claims over time without fees.

## Payment plan eligibility

Turo offers eligible guests the option to set up a payment plan for damage claims. You may be eligible for a payment plan if there aren’t any restrictions on your account, and you don’t already have an active payment plan in place for another claim.

If we’ve tried unsuccessfully to charge your payment method on file, **and** your damage claim invoice is eligible for a payment plan, we’ll notify you. You’ll have 30 days from the date the damage claim invoice was created to set up a payment plan.

If you fail to set up a payment, we’ll continue trying to charge your payment method on file. If our attempts are still unsuccessful, [we’ll send your outstanding balance to collections](https://help.turo.com/paying-an-invoice-or-unpaid-balance-ryLNV4g4c#managinganunpaidinvoicesenttocollections).

## Payment plan options

To create a payment plan, follow the link in the email we sent you. The link will also appear in your in-app notification, the **Details** page of the trip, and the [Unpaid invoices](https://turo.com/us/en/unpaid-invoices) page.

For invoices of $5,000\* or less, you can choose to pay over two, four, or eight months. For invoices of $5,000\* or more, you can choose to pay over four, six, or eight months.

If you want to pay off your balance earlier than scheduled, you can do so by contacting [Claims support](https://help.turo.com/how-guests-can-contact-claims-SJw1BNxE5#questionsaboutaclaim). Once you’ve paid your balance in full, you’ll be able to book new trips on Turo.

## Payment timing

The first payment is due when you set up the plan. You’ll need to provide your banking details so automatic payments can be processed each month.

Payments must be made on time each month. If a payment fails, we’ll let you know and ask you to update your payment method before the next payment’s due date. If you don’t update your payment method, we’ll cancel the payment plan and proceed with collections efforts.
