## Protection plans 

How much a protection plan costs depends on the plan you choose. The higher the cost, the lower your out-of-pocket maximum payment\* for damage caused to a host’s vehicle during a trip. The physical damage contract included in a protection plan limits your out-of-pocket costs\* for physical damage to the host’s vehicle but doesn’t limit your out-of-pocket costs for any interior or mechanical damage or if you use the vehicle in a manner contrary to our [Terms of Service](https://turo.com/fr/fr/reglements/conditions) or other policies. 

When you book a trip, we’ll show you: 

*   Your protection plan options
    
*   Amount of third-party liability insurance included 
    
*   Out-of-pocket payment limit for physical damage 
    
*   Cost of the protection plan, shown as a separate line item at checkout

## Guest protection plan options

Choose a protection plan that covers you if the vehicle is stolen or damaged. #### Premier

*   No out-of-pocket financial liability\* for vehicle damage
    
*   Roadside assistance is available and, in metropolitan France and [covered countries abroad,](https://help.turo.com/driving-across-borders-r1rjLfrgi) will repatriate you or help you continue your journey
    
*   Third-party liability insurance included; capped amounts, conditions, and exclusions détailed [**here**](https://help.turo.com/protection-plans-in-detail-france-guests-ry6y3o962#third-partyliabilityinsurance) 
    

#### Standard

*   250 €† maximum out-of-pocket financial liability\* for vehicle damage 
    
*   Roadside assistance is available and, in metropolitan France only, will repatriate you or help you continue your journey

#### Limited

*   3000 €†  maximum out-of-pocket financial liability\* for vehicle damage 
    
*   Roadside assistance is available. No repatriation or help to continue your journey in this plan
