## Tax responsibility

You’re responsible for declaring all taxable income. Talk to your licensed tax professional for advice regarding your tax obligations and whether reporting Turo earnings on your income taxes is appropriate. Find out, too,  whether local or provincial rental car tax, use tax, tourism tax, and/or other taxes in your jurisdiction would apply.

## Eligibility requirements

## When will I receive my 1099-K?

Turo will email you a  1099-K by January 31, 2026, if you meet the eligibility requirements and submit your tax information by the January 15, 2026 deadline. You can also view your 1099-K in the **Tax information** section of the **Earnings** tab when it’s available. Turo won’t send you a 1099-K in the mail. If you would like a paper copy of your 1099-K, you must contact us by December 31, 2025, to request a copy. Tap the "Get help" button below to reach our AI assistant and ask to be connected to an agent.

If you miss the deadline, you won’t receive a 1099-K. You can use your tax information page to support your tax reporting obligations.
