## How redemption works

When you redeem a Turo gift card, we add the value to your travel credit balance and apply it to the next trip you book. If you want to save your gift card for a specific trip, wait until you’re booking the trip and redeem it at checkout. 

Any remaining gift card value stays in your travel credit balance to use towards future trips. You can view this amount on your **Account** page under **Travel credit**. If the trip total is more than the gift card value, we'll charge your payment method on file for the difference. 

To redeem a gift card, you must have a US mailing address and a US payment method on file. You must have a Turo account and, if you’re a first-time Turo user, must [get approved to drive](https://help.turo.com/en_us/booking-a-car-H1gxVVeE9). You can get approved to drive on your **Account** page before booking your first trip.

## How to redeem a gift card - Account page

1.  Open your **Account** page
2.  Scroll down to **Travel credit** and find the **Gift Cards** section
3.  Tap or click “**Redeem”** 
4.  Enter gift card PIN (found in the gift card email you received)
5.  Tap or click “**Redeem”**
6.  Look for an on-screen confirmation that we’ve added the amount to your travel credit balance

## How to redeem a gift card - Booking a trip 

1.  Scroll down to the bottom of the checkout screen to find **Gift card**

3.  Enter the PIN from your gift card on the next screen
4.  Tap or click “**Redeem”** to apply the amount 
5.  See your gift card amount deducted as travel credit
