## Calling for roadside assistance

Your host may have personal breakdown cover to assist you with issues such as tyre punctures, fuel needs, key problems, and mechanical breakdowns. Check Turo messaging to see if there’s a message from your host about this. If there’s no message, call your host to confirm whether they have a personal breakdown service provider you should call.

In case of a breakdown, always let your host know that you need roadside assistance.

**If your host doesn’t have breakdown cover, or you’ve been in an accident, call +44 808 164 1454 to reach Turo’s 24/7 roadside assistance provider, Allianz.** Have your reservation number handy. You can find it on the **Details** page of your trip or in the trip confirmation email Turo sent you.

Roadside assistance through Turo’s roadside assistance provider, Allianz\*\*, is available to guests traveling in the UK, including Northern Ireland. Allianz doesn’t provide roadside assistance in Europe. ## Working with Allianz for roadside assistance

#### Accidents or breakdowns
If another vehicle is involved in the accident, get the following information:

* Driver’s **full name, address, contact information**

* **Vehicle registration number** and **insurance provider**

* **Photos** of the other vehicle and any damage

* Contact details of any **witnesses**

**Important**: If the vehicle was involved in an accident with a third party, regardless of the extent of the damage, the guest must report it through [Turo’s damage reporting centre](https://help.turo.com/en_us/reporting-damage-or-guests-SJtWr4gE9) to give their version of events and provide the third party’s details; if they don’t, they risk being held financially responsible for the damages even if they weren't at fault.

**Drivable Vehicle**

If the vehicle is still safe to drive after an accident or breakdown:

* Contact your host to inform them of the incident

* Continue your trip and report the damage through [Turo’s damage reporting centre](https://help.turo.com/en_us/reporting-damage-or-guests-SJtWr4gE9) within **24 hours** of the incident

**Undrivable Vehicle**

If the vehicle is unsafe to drive:

* Contact your host to notify them of the incident

*   Call **+44 808 164 1454** for roadside assistance

An Allianz roadside assistance professional will attempt to repair the vehicle. If they can’t fix it on the spot, they’ll tow it, along with any luggage or cargo, to your host’s preferred garage within 100 miles. If your host is unavailable, they’ll tow it to the nearest secure storage unit.

If you’re unable to continue your trip, you may be eligible for a partial refund and reimbursement of [onward travel](https://help.turo.com/onward-travel-uk-guests-SyJi4l0Gge) to get to a safe location, depending on the nature of the incident. Turo’s roadside specialised team will contact you. Learn more about [Turo’s onward travel benefit](https://help.turo.com/onward-travel-uk-guests-SyJi4l0Gge).

**Note:** Guests will generally receive a refund for unused trip days; however, Turo reserves the right to not refund based on circumstances and causes of the recourse to roadside assistance.

### Responsibility for the vehicle and keys

While waiting for roadside assistance, **stay with the vehicle**. If the location is unsafe, move to a nearby secure spot while keeping the vehicle in sight.
