#### **Call Turo at +1 (415) 965-4525** for 24/7 roadside assistance for an accident, breakdown, or other roadside issue.

## Roadside assistance after a breakdown or other mechanical issue

If the vehicle you’re driving breaks down or won’t start, immediately contact your host. Then call **+1 (415) 965-4525** to request roadside assistance. Report your location and the known or suspected problem.

Roadside assistance will attempt to fix the vehicle so it’s operational. If they’re unable to do so, they’ll tow the vehicle and any luggage or cargo to your host’s preferred location or the nearest secure facility. Contact customer support at **+1 (415) 963-4109** for help booking another vehicle.

## Roadside assistance after an accident

**If the vehicle can no longer be driven after an accident**, contact your host to let them know and call Turo to request roadside assistance at **+1 (415) 965-4525**. If the vehicle needs to be towed and you can’t wait for the repair, or the vehicle can’t be repaired at that time, let us know.

If your vehicle leaves the road as a result of an accident, roadside assistance will arrange for recovery of your vehicle and luggage or cargo. You won’t be charged a fee for towing the vehicle after an accident, unless the accident was caused by a [prohibited use](https://help.turo.com/prohibited-uses-Hyi0E4l49).

**If the vehicle can still be driven after an accident,** contact your host to let them know. Then continue your trip and report the damage via our [damage reporting center](https://turo.com/resolutions) within 24 hours from the time of the incident.

**If you were in an accident with another vehicle,** take these actions:

* Record the other driver’s full name, address, and contact information
* Get the vehicle registration number and insurance provider information
* Take clear photos of their vehicle and all damage
* Get the contact information of any witnesses
* Provide all parties involved with the information on the Turo [incident Information card](https://help.turo.com/view-your-incident-information-card-H1IyEup8j) your host left in the vehicle for you

## Roadside service costs

All trips include 24/7 roadside assistance for mechanical issues and accidents; however, guests will be fully liable if they violate the [Terms of service](https://turo.com/policies/terms), engage in any [Prohibited uses](https://help.turo.com/prohibited-uses-Hyi0E4l49), or otherwise intentionally, recklessly, or with wanton disregard, misuse the vehicle.

You have the option to purchase Enhanced roadside assistance when you book your trip to reduce your out-of-pocket costs if you need service for non-mechanical issues. If you purchase Enhanced roadside assistance, it is non-refundable whether you have a non-mechanical issue on your trip or not.

These services for non-mechanical issues are covered at no cost for guests who purchase Enhanced roadside assistance, except for guest-at-fault vehicle impound recovery, which has a maximum charge of $399. Guests who do not purchase this add-on will be charged up to $199 for all services, except for towing and guest-at-fault vehicle impound recovery.
