#### The sooner you act to resolve a safety recall, the sooner we’ll be able to remove your vehicle restriction.

## How to manage a safety recall

Contact your local dealership to get your car fixed free of charge. After the repair is complete, the dealership will register it with the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA). How quickly your vehicle’s status is updated in the NHTSA database depends on how quickly your dealership registers the repair.

Turo’s system monitors the NHTSA recall database. Check the [recall database](http://nhtsa.gov/recalls) to see **if your vehicle’s repair status shows that you’ve addressed the recall**. When it does, **our system will automatically lift the vehicle rest****riction**, return the vehicle to the same listing status it had when we discovered the recall, and notifies you.

State regulatory requirements prohibit any exceptions to this policy.

## I got the recall fixed but my car is still restricted. What should I do?
