#### Turo’s system charges a refundable security deposit for some trips booked in the UK. 

## Security deposit costs

Whether Turo’s system will apply a refundable security deposit to your booked trip and the deposit amount depends on the vehicle type and other factors. Turo will display the cost of a security deposit on the checkout page before you book. If you qualify for more than one deposit, Turo will charge you for the highest one. 

## Deposits for trips in the United Kingdom 

*   **£500 deposit** required for all guests who book Deluxe Class vehicles; guests must be 25 or older to book
    
*   **£1,000 deposit** required for all guests who book Super Deluxe Class vehicles; guests must be 30 or older to book
    
*   **£1,000 deposit** required for guests who book a trip to [travel in the EU from the UK](https://help.turo.com/travel-in-the-eu-from-the-uk-or-guests-HJdG4Vl49)
    
*   **£250 deposit** required if our security system chooses your trip for a deposit 
    

## Security deposit refunds

Turo will automatically refund your security deposit 80 hours after your trip ends _**if all the following are true:**_

*   the host hasn’t reported any vehicle damage; _**and**_
    
*   you’ve paid any eligible reimbursement invoices; _**and**_
    
*   you weren’t responsible for roadside service charges in the EU on a trip that originated in the UK
