## Dynamic pricing 

Turo applies dynamic pricing to all vehicle listings. Dynamic pricing calculates the optimal daily rate for your vehicle by balancing price with booking probability. It considers:

*   Your vehicle’s make, model, fair market value, and other factors
    
*   Real-time guest searches
    
*   Past booked prices and utilization for your vehicle and similar vehicles
    
*   Supply and demand forecasts for your local market, factoring in daily demand patterns and seasonal trends
    
*   Host costs
    
*   Other proprietary factors
    

## Customized pricing 

#### Completing the pricing tutorial

You can change the prices set by dynamic pricing if you think they should be different based on your local market knowledge or utilization goals. Before you do, the Turo app will prompt you to complete a short, required lesson on dynamic pricing. 

To take the pricing tutorial:

1.  Open the **Trips** tab
    
2.  Open the **Calendar** view
    
3.  Open the information widget in the top left corner of the page
    
4.  Tap/click **“Launch tutorial”** 
    

#### Changing prices on the Calendar

Use the **Calendar** to set vehicle prices for a single date, multiple dates, or a date range. To change pricing, use the pop-up menu on the app or the side panel on the web. Before finalizing your changes, look for a purple checkmark on your chosen dates to confirm your price updates will be applied as you intended. You can also set prices on the **Vehicle Calendar**. To access the calendar for a specific vehicle, tap/click that vehicle’s photo. 

#### Receiving pricing alerts

If you price a vehicle 20% or more above the recommended price on a given day(s), those days will be shaded yellow on your calendar to alert you that the vehicle may show lower in search and be less likely to get booked. 

## Pricing insights

To help you make well-informed pricing decisions and give you an overview of how dynamic pricing works, Turo has create a “Future prices” chart that shows dynamic pricing recommendations for the next 90 days. Prices are updated daily, so you can see how dynamic pricing changes over time and how it compares to any custom prices you’ve set. 

To see “Future prices”:

1.  Open the **Trips** tab
    
2.  Open the **Calendar** view
    
3.  Tap/click **“Insights”** at the bottom of the page
    

You can also access this information via monthly banners in your **Calendar** view and push notifications we’ll send when you have a vehicle(s) with new insights. 

## Last-minute boost pricing

To help you earn more, we opt all new listings into 5% last-minute boost pricing. This feature automatically boosts your prices for same-day bookings if you’ve set your **Advance notice** to less than 24 hours. You can increase, add, or remove last-minute boost pricing anytime from [Trip preferences](https://help.turo.com/setting-trip-duration-BJZpGUJIc).
