## Trip photos timelines

You have 24 hours before trip start to take pre-trip photos, and up to 24 hours after trip start to upload them. You have up to 24 hours after trip end to take and upload post-trip photos. Our system requires you to add photo evidence to any invoices you send for incidental costs or post-trip issues you report (like cleaning, smoking, or damage). Photos also help Turo support you in case of disputes. Use the Turo app for [iOS](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/turo-better-than-car-rental/id555063314?mt=8) or [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.relayrides.android.relayrides&hl=en_US) to take photos, apply a timestamp, and upload photos to **Trip photos**.

**Tip:** Take well-lit and clear pre- and post-trip photos from identical views so it’s easy to compare the two.

## Exterior vehicle photos

Take at least 15 photos of your vehicle’s exterior from these viewpoints. Include close-ups of any scratches, dents, or other pre-existing issues.

## Interior vehicle photos

Take at least eight photos of the following areas of your vehicle’s interior. Be sure to clearly document any interior stains, spills, or debris.

## Odometer and fuel/ EV charge level photos

Take a photo of your vehicle’s odometer and fuel/EV charge level. The Turo system will automatically capture the values for each and prompt you to confirm them. When you take the photo, block any glare and ensure the vehicle’s mileage/odometer and fuel/EV charge level are in focus and in frame.
