#### You must be at least 21 years old, and your vehicle must meet Turo’s eligibility requirements for listing in Australia.

## Vehicle type and registration

Vehicles must meet eligibility and registration requirements for listing.

* Be an eligible passenger vehicle located in Australia and registered to you or to an owner who’s authorized you to list their vehicle; you must be 21 or older to host
* Meet all state or territory legal requirements
* Have permanent, temporary, or provisional “P” plates; we don’t allow dealer or trader plates and “P” plates must be removed before any trip
*   Have a clean title  (e.g. [not “written off”](https://help.turo.com/ineligible-vehicle-titles-B1DvLEe49))

**State requirement:** Hosts in South Australia who list an [Ultra High Performance Vehicle (UHPV)](https://www.mylicence.sa.gov.au/my-ultra-high-powered-vehicle-licence/frequently-asked-questions) must inform Turo’s Host Success team via this [contact form](https://teambaifo.typeform.com/to/lqQEBK8W). Guests will be required to have a U licence if they are a South Australian Driver's Licence Holder to book a UHPV.

**Note:** Ineligible vehicles include, but aren’t limited to, motorcycles, limousines, box trucks, vehicles that seat more than 15 (including the driver), RVs, tow trucks, vehicles that require a commercial license, off-road vehicles, statutory and repairable write-offs.

## Age, condition, and value

Eligible vehicles must meet age, condition, and value requirements for listing.

* Be no more than 12 years old, with exceptions for “specialty” or “classic” vehicles
* Have fewer than 200,000 km and continue to meet our [maintenance and safety standards](https://help.turo.com/maintenance-requirements-ryNmIVxNc) as the vehicle ages
    * Once listed, vehicles that reach or exceed 200,000 km may remain listed if they’re in excellent condition and continue to meet all legal, safety, and mechanical standards
* Have a fair market value of up to A$200,000 based on third-party vendor determination of vehicle value at the time of listing

## Specialty and Classic vehicles eligibility

#### Age, condition, and value

* Turo-designated “specialty” and “classic” vehicles must meet the vehicle type, registration, condition, and value requirements listed above
* “Specialty” vehicles must be between 12 and 25 years old and must have been serviced within the last year
* “Classic” vehicles must be more than 25 years old
* Turo will conduct additional reviews of “specialty” and “classic” vehicle candidates to determine their eligibility for listing

#### Considerations

For a vehicle to be considered a specialty vehicle, it should stand out as being “luxurious”, “unique”, or “rare”.

* **Luxurious** vehicles have high-quality materials, advanced technology, performance, exclusive features, and brand prestige
* **Unique** vehicles are those that may have undergone significant customisation, are one-off builds, or possess significant cultural or iconic status
* **Rare** vehicles have limited production, historical significance, as well as popularity and demand

If you have a car that meets this criteria and you’d like to share it on Turo, complete and submit [this form](https://turo.typeform.com/to/lqQEBK8W). Turo can, at its discretion, decline to list any vehicle for any reason.

## Vehicle insurance

Hosts must meet insurance requirements for listing.

* Have [personal insurance and a protection plan made available via Turo](https://help.turo.com/personal-insurance-requirements-or-hosts-S1TvINxVq)
* Have valid Compulsory Third Party (CTP) coverage,  notify your CTP carrier that you’re sharing your vehicle on Turo and certify with us that you’ve done so
* Equip vehicles that have a fair market value of A$75,000 or more with an active GPS tracking device; see [vehicle tracking requirements](https://help.turo.com/tracking-and-technology-devices-SkF48Nl49).

## Consistent guest experience

* Unless installed by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or required by the host/owner’s insurer, vehicles **must not** be equipped with any device that allows someone **other** than the host, guest, or Turo (including Turo’s trusted partners) to:
    * unlock the vehicle during a Turo trip
    * obtain vehicle data relating to a Turo trip, such as vehicle location, odometer readings, or speedometer readings
* Have no branding on the inside or outside other than automaker’s branding or Turo-approved branding
* Not be parked in a space for guest pickups or returns that has any branding other than Turo-approved branding

**Note:**  Turo reserves the right to modify eligibility requirements anytime for any reason.
