## Adding a payment method

#### Add a payment card at account setup

When you create an account on Turo, we’ll ask you to add a current, valid credit card or debit card; we don’t accept prepaid cards, except for Revolut. Once you’ve added a payment card, we’ll display it on all payment screens as your default payment method.

#### Add payment methods any time

If you’ve already added a payment method but want to use a different one, you can can add another payment card or add Apple Pay and/or Google Pay.

There are three different places on Turo where you can add a payment method:

*   [Account page](https://turo.com/account)
*   Trip checkout screen
* Payment screen you see when you modify a trip or pay a host invoice

Tap or click **Payment method** from any of these locations**. If you’re using the Turo app,** you can scan your card information, add multiple payment methods to your account, and switch between payment methods to use your preferred form of payment at any time. When you add a payment method or switch to a different one, we’ll save it as the default for your next trip.

## Deleting or updating a payment method

You can delete a payment method from any of the same places where you added it, and we’ll remove it from your account. When you update an expired payment method with a new expiration date and CVV, we’ll remove the old version from your account. For questions about deleting your payment method from Turo, email [accountclosure@turo.com](mailto:accountclosure@turo.com).

## Troubleshooting an issue with a payment method

When you book a trip or pay an invoice with a payment card, we send the card information to the card issuer, and they accept or deny the transaction. If they deny the transaction, we’re unable to let you move forward with the action you’re trying to take and unable to give you any information about why the transaction was denied. You must contact your card issuer for information and resolution.
