## Concerns about wrong earnings

The list of reasons below explain why the payout you expected to receive may differ from the payout you actually received.

#### Why is my payout amount wrong? I didn’t receive the amount I should have.

**Reason: You changed your **earnings** plan for a trip(s).** Your earnings plan determines the [percentage you earn](https://help.turo.com/r1zDrNlNc) of the trip price and some other guest charges. Review the earnings plan for the trip(s) you were paid for and the associated [host share](https://help.turo.com/r1zDrNlNc).

**Reason:** **We adjusted your earnings for cancellation fees, violation fees, or for guest refunds you approved****.** Review notices of any fee charges and any approved guest refunds to confirm the correct payout amount.

**Reason: You have trips that are more than seven days long.** For trips seven days or longer, Turo issues weekly partial payouts and continues to do so until the trip has ended, and we’ve paid you in full. Review your in-progress trips for those that are more than seven days long to confirm the correct payout amount.

**Reason: You offered free delivery or set discounts for trips of a certain length.** Review your settings and the length of the completed trip(s) to check for approved cost reductions on your part

## Concerns about a missing payout

The list of reasons below explain why payout date might not match your expectations.

#### Why haven’t I received my payout yet?

**US HOSTS:** Once Turo initiates your payout, your bank will take an additional three to five _business days_ to verify and process the payout as a direct deposit.

**HOSTS OUTSIDE THE US:** Stripe takes about three _business days_ to confirm and process a payout. Once it does, Turo initiates payout to you. Then your bank will take an additional three to five _business days_ to deposit the funds into your account.

#### Why haven’t I been paid for my first trip yet?

**If you recently** [**set up direct deposit**](https://help.turo.com/HkDwB4xE5)**,** **there could be a lag time of up to 14 days until you receive your first trip payout.** After that, you should receive payouts as scheduled.

#### My guest drove extra miles, didn’t fill up the gas, didn’t recharge the battery, got a ticket, got a toll. Why wasn’t I paid for that?

There are two reasons your payout may not have included guest payment for an incidental charge.

1. **You didn’t send an invoice for incidental charges to your guest.** Turo doesn’t automatically add reimbursements for incidental charges. You must [send a reimbursement invoice](https://help.turo.com/SyCDS4eVc).
2. **Turo found your invoice to be ineligible.**  If a guest disputed your invoice and/or you escalated an invoice to customer support, an agent would have reviewed the documentation to determine whether the charge was eligible for reimbursement. Check your email and Turo **Inbox** for any invoice notifications.

#### Why wasn’t my incidental invoice paid? Why was my reimbursement declined?

There are several reasons why we may have denied payout of your invoice for incidental charges; the most common is that you uploaded photos outside the permitted timeframe.

Otherwise, you may have failed to provide a receipt, uploaded a receipt from a previous trip, or uploaded a receipt for fuel costs paid before the trip for an amount in excess of what the guest owed.

It also could be that the reimbursement amount was more than the submitted evidence supported, you choose a reimbursement type that didn’t match the incidental cost, or your accidentally charged a guest for a previously resolved case. Review the guidelines for [requesting reimbursement](https://help.turo.com/requesting-reimbursement-for-incidentals-SyCDS4eVc).

#### Why does it say my payouts are paused?

Your payouts might be paused because you need to re-verify with Stripe or there may be an issue with your payout account or your Turo account.
