## Payment options 

When Turo will charge you for a trip depending on the available payment option you choose. **Your options** _**may**_ **include Pay now, Pay later, Pay as you go, or Pay over time.** [See which cards and apps Turo accepts](https://help.turo.com/en_us/payment-methods-turo-accepts-B1kfEutwee)

**Not all payment options are available to all guests at all times.** Turo will show you the available payment options you can choose from when you book your trip. Their availability depends on several factors, including, but not limited to, how far in advance you book, the length of your trip, and the card or app you use to pay.  

## Pay now  

If you choose to **Pay now,** Turo will authorizes the full trip cost upon booking. Charges occur 40 hours after authorization or one hour before the trip starts, whichever happens first. **Pay now** isn’t available for trips more than 30 days long.

## Pay later

When Turo will charge you for a **Pay later**  trips depends on how far in advance you booked the trip:

*   **Booked 3 to 13 days in advance:** Full amount charged two days before the trip starts
    
*   **Booked more than 14 days in advance:** Full amount charged seven days before the trip starts
    

**If you chose Pay later and want to pay early,** you can do so by contacting customer support. Tap the **"Get help"** button below to reach our AI assistant and ask to be connected to an agent.

## Pay as you go

This option is available for trips longer than 30 days when using a valid debit or credit card (card-based payment only).

*   **Installment calculation:** Turo charges equal installments every 30 days based on the average daily price. The system will apply any available travel credits, gift cards, and/or prior payments to new trips to the total trip cost before calculating your payment plan. 
    
*   **Lead time requirements:** Trips booked with less than 7 days lead time require the first payment at the time of booking.
    
*   **Non-refundable trips:** Turo charges the first 30 days at booking. Subsequent charges occur 30 days in advance of the next increment.
    
*   **Payment failures:** Turo shortens the trip and requires vehicle return if payment processing fails.
    

## Pay over time

### US guests only

Eligible guests may finance trips of 30 days or fewer that do not require a security deposit. Financing is available through third-party services Affirm, Klarna\*, and Afterpay/Clearpay

**If you chose “Pay over time”and want to make a scheduled payment early,** **you must contact the third-party service provider you financed your trip with.** Turo has no information about agreements between guests and their third-party finance provider. Direct all questions to them.

## Can I pay for my trip early?

If you chose **Pay later**, contact customer support to process the payment early. For **Pay over time** options, contact the third-party finance provider directly to manage scheduled payments.
