Roadside assistance
Roadside assistance* ** is available 24/7 through our partner Allianz for accidents, breakdowns, and tyre issues in the UK, including Northern Ireland. Keep a copy of the Turo incident information card in the vehicle so guests know how to contact roadside assistance and have proof of financial responsibility. Call +44 808 164 1454 and select option three for roadside assistance.
Vehicle drivable after accident/breakdown
If your guest gets into an accident, but the vehicle is still driveable, instruct them to use Turo’s damage reporting centre to report the damage within 24 hours from the time of the incident.
Vehicle undriveable after accident/breakdown
If the vehicle is undrivable, our roadside assistance partners will try to fix it so it’s operational. If they can’t, they’ll tow the vehicle to your preferred garage within 100 miles. If we can’t reach you, they’ll tow the vehicle to the nearest garage or secure storage unit.
Responsibility for roadside service costs
You’re responsible for roadside costs if service was needed because the vehicle was mechanically unsound or improperly maintained. Hosts are also responsible for flat tyre damage costs if the flat was caused by deterioration, age, rot, or a pre-existing condition.
Trips in the UK
If you’re found to be at fault for a roadside incident, we may charge you roadside costs up to £350 for trips within the UK. You may lose earnings for any unused days of an affected trip. Your guest may be responsible for covering roadside costs if service was needed because of carelessness, abuse, or a violation of Turo policy.
Trips in Europe
Our partners provide roadside assistance in Europe for mechanical issues and breakdowns. If we find you to be at fault, we may charge you up to £1,000***, and you may lose earnings for any unused trip days. You may want to consider purchasing additional European coverage.
*Roadside assistance coverage isn't available if you or your guest violate Turo’s Terms of Service, allow an unauthorized driver to use the vehicle, or intentionally cause damage or misuse the vehicle.
